Escape from the tourist destination or hotels in city outreach lifestyle of local Review of customers went to village homestay I just thought I would get in touch again to thank you for organising the homestay that I did with Chin's family in Sranal village, sranal commune and kralanh district a week ago. Sorry that it has taken me so long to get back in touch and let you know how it went but I have not had access to the internet in the last week since leaving Siem Reap. Anyway, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the homestay, which lasted 3 days and 2 nights. Chin and his family were most welcoming and I felt at ease from the moment I arrived. I learnt so much about Cambodia culture while staying on the farm and Chin was the perfect host. I would even go as far as saying that the homestay was one of the best things I've done while being in South Asia and many thanks must go to Chin and his family for making my Cambodian homestay such a fantastic and memorable experience. I would appreciate it if you could pass on this message to Chin and his family and let them know how much I enjoyed staying with them. In fact, I hope to revisit the family in years to come!
homestay near siem reap, Cambodia
I just wanted to recommend this homestay in Cambodia. Its run by a guy called chonly and he's great! You can stay with his family in a small village near siem reap, and spend the days touring round with him and his motor bike and oxcart . He picks you up in hotels and guesthouse in siem reap in town and helps you arrange onward travel from there. He charged 45$ for 2 nights accomodation, breakfats, lunch and dinners, plus the day tour. Its less per person if there are more of you. I know its more than you'd pay staying in a hostel, but the experience is amazing, and you know the money is going directly to the people and village. Give him a few dyas notice and head on out there!!
